We also know how to streamline production, making sure every penny appears where it should – on screen. So, from tiny budgets to huge ambitions, whatever the project, just give us a call to talk about how we can make your bright ideas shine.

Glenn has a huge amount of broadcast experience under his belt. Producing and directing some of the country’s most treasured and respected programmes – such as the RBL Festival of Remembrance, Invictus Games, The Lord Mayor’s Show, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the Diamond Jubilee, the Olympic Victory Parade, and even One Man & His Dog.

"They say never work with children or animals. Well, I disagree. I've done both and trust me, if you can do that you can do anything!"

Broadcasting on BBC1 from the middle of a live event at the NEC, with thousands of people looking on. Often complicated and risky, but mostly great fun!

He has an innate ability to remain polite and calm under pressure – a skill honed through years of working at the forefront of live television where every decision has immediate and irrevocable impact. Glenn naturally applies a strong editorial judgement to any film, documentary, or current affairs programme he is producing.

"If you're not prepared to be honest and thought-provoking, how can you expect anyone to watch your film? The trick is in finding the creative approach to every story."

Outside of broadcast, Glenn has a growing reputation for creating some of the most engaging content for corporate clients. Whether a promotional film for a London theatre, a national veteran’s charity, or a City-based financial institution, Glenn prides himself on creating films that deliver key messages to key audiences in an appealing way, while supporting an overall marketing strategy.

No matter where you film, there's no excuse for not making the location look beautiful. Just a small part in the process of creating a superior corporate film.

"I don't see any reason to treat a corporate film any differently to a BBC1 peak-time production. Both deserve creativity, attention to detail, and strong content – and all this at value for money."

So if you're interested in speaking to Glenn about producing or directing a film for you, please contact him at Sparkly Light Productions where he'll be pleased to talk things through – over a coffee perhaps!

Ian is the award-winning Producer and Director behind Sparkly Light. He has been responsible for some of the most memorable television broadcasts of the last two decades and now, with Sparkly Light, Ian is bringing his extraordinary production experience to an even wider range of projects.

"It’s just as rewarding to find cost-effective ways to make content available for the web as it is to be at the heart of a big-budget, international broadcast; they both can reach an audience of millions."

Whatever the production, however large or small, it is sure to benefit from Ian's experienced and creative approach.

"There’s an ever growing number of ways to deliver content which provide exciting new opportunities for experienced producers who keep across the latest technologies."

Whether covering drama for cinema screens worldwide, televising live events for international audiences or making films destined for the web, Ian believes it’s vital to bring a fresh creative view to each project. It’s an approach he’s adopted over decades of working across the breadth of the industry.

"It’s important to draw on experience but vital to allow creativity to drive the storylines and build the treatments; always start with a blank sheet of paper."

It’s this built-from-the-ground-up, bespoke approach that gives every project a firm footing. Its all-important essence has to be discovered first; only when the vital structures and unique details are revealed, can the tale it has to tell be defined.

"Perhaps, the most important thing about film making is to remain clear about the story you’re telling, while seeking out creative ways of telling it."

It’s also a key part of Ian’s Sparkly Light philosophy to consider a project as a whole, carefully constructing its editorial, while, hand-in-hand, shaping its production to fit its intended platform.

"This approach has proved successful time and time again and helps to deliver talked about, memorable content that reaches millions and tells an enduring story."
